While the hockey team was training, a stray cat chose one of the gym bags for her treasure. Just look at this cutie! “We found them on the evening before our weekly practice,” says Dan Klein, an amateur hockey player with South Korea’s Gwangyang Crazy Eagles.
“We kept the windows open so the uniforms would dry faster. That’s how they got in.”
Imagine the amazement of the players when they found four kittens in their dressing room!
The men agreed that the young mother should stay here no longer than three days. By the way, the cat was not a stranger. “We knew about her that this is a local street cat that lives somewhere near the stadium.”
“The bag belongs to our goalkeeper. It is always full of equipment in case he has to replace one of the defensive players,” explains Klein.
When the fluffy mommy saw the movement of the hockey players, she assessed the situation and decided that it would be great to attach the kids to the sports team.
“I grew up in this country and worked on a farm during my school days. I responsibly declare that she is perhaps the calmest young mother cat that I have ever encountered, especially among the vagrants,” Klein continues.
Kittens feel great, and the players have already managed to fall in love with uninvited guests.
The kittens remained in the hockey bag for a couple of weeks with their mother, who tirelessly took care of them, and the team supplied the pets with food and drink.
On the advice of the players, the elderly gentleman who tends the rink recently took the furry family into his home, and he lives just near the hockey locker room. Now he, along with his wife, looks after the cat and four babies.
