Melisa, the owner of a shelter, had been told about a kitty walking around outside in the snow about a month before.
The feline was brought to a safe location the next day with the help of a colleague.
The kitty began to trust after receiving some treats and a lot of tolerance. She gradually grew accustomed to her human companion and began to enjoy her new surroundings.
Melisa was astonished a few days later in the early evening. She had two small furballs snuggled up next to her.
By the evening, five healthy little cats were nursing eagerly on her tummy.
Mama kitty was defensive and protective of her five kittens from the start. With time, the kitty was able to relax a little more and enjoy the cosy and safe life. The cats’ eyes are completely open at three weeks old, and they are starting to meow and play.
She is keeping an eye out for them and is generally prepared to meet their needs. ‘It was quite possibly the most extraordinary change to witness!
